Dear Megaera readers (if you don’t mind my calling you “dear”),

Here it is in all its glory. The magniftacular second edition of Megaera. We have quite a menagerie of vignettes for you, both pretty and monstrous… Well, anyway, we think we’ve put together a fairly decent collection of short stories and poetry. Don’t take our word for it, though. Just click on one of the links to the left and check them out for yourself.

Be sure to read our award winners in fiction and poetry. These are the works the Megaera staff (two people) liked most, and we think you’ll like them as well. Award winners receive a small cash prize for their work. Yes, it’s a bribe, but how else can we encourage quality submissions? So if Santa Claus didn’t leave you what you wanted, and you want some cash, you’ve got to send in your own work.

All in all, we think we’ve got a fairly solid second issue. But we can only be as good as you make us. We depend on your submissions. If you wish to have your work here on Megaera, a good first step might be to submit it to us! Anyway, take a look around, see what you like and what you don't.
