holy day
Sunday falls faster than it did last year, and i
have to wonder if people have stopped believing
in gospel casette tapes and the black letters
arranged for all to see at the baptist church.
we visit flea markets every saturday, moth
to flame; yet we buy nothing-- not the one dollar
rings with birth stones or sterling silver flowers,
not a peach colored phone from the fifties, not
another lamp shade with exaggerated fruit
painted in pastels, and not another goddamn
Bible. we don't buy into the propoganda,
call it what you want; we are sinners and
leave our penance at the door, thankyousir.
