Dream of Adam and Eve
Jessy Randall

Adam and Eve are
sleeping in the bathtubs every day;
they are born out of the water in the
bathtubs, and lying side by side they wake
to argue: "Okay I will
have sex with you, but only because
you are my sister,"
"Only because you are the last man on earth."

Adam dreams of a harem; Eve dreams
of dinner in a restaurant.
All day long they argue while they
name the animals, do the gardening, cleave
unto each other, watch a little TV, let
the cat out and then go back to the bathtubs,
where the warmth of heaven waits at night
never to be gotten rid of.
